Dive into a classic African Serengeti Ngorongoro Samburu safari. An 11-day classic African safari in Kenya and Tanzania is an unforgettable adventure that allows you to explore some of East Africa’s most iconic wildlife destinations. Both countries are renowned for their stunning landscapes, diverse ecosystems, and abundant wildlife, making them ideal locations for a safari experience.
Day 1:
Tree Hotel
Morning drive to the forested highlands of the Aberdares. After lunch at the base hotel, transfer to your tree hotel for game watching at the flood-lit water hole
(160 kms, 3 hrs).
Day 2:
Samburu
Continue north across the equator, to the home of the Samburu people. Marvel at the rugged scenery of isolated crags and springs in this semi-arid region. After a game drive, relax in the comfort of your lodge:
(207 kms, 3 1/2 hrs).
Day 3:
Samburu
Morning and later afternoon, game drives along the Uaso Nyiro river. In addition to the carnivores, view the rare species of herbivore such as the Beisa Oryx or Grevy Zebra.
Day 4:
Nakuru
The drive to Lake Nakuru provides stunning vistas between the escarpments of the Rift Valley. During your game drive, behold the amazing sight of candy pink flamingoes lining the waters of this alkaline lake (315 kms, 5 1/2 hrs).
Day 5:
Nairobi
After breakfast, depart for Nairobi arriving before lunch. Afternoon at your leisure,
(160 kms, 3 hrs).
Day 6:
Lake Manyara
Cross the border to Tanzania at Namanga, stopping at Arusha for lunch. Proceed to Lake Manyara Park for a game drive. Spend the night at Lake Manyara Hotel
(415 kms, 10 hrs).
Day 7:
Serengeti
Morning game drive reveals the famous tree climbing lions which spend most of the day along branches of acacia trees. After lunch proceed to Serengeti Park for the night
(205 kms, 4 hrs).
Day 8:
Serengeti
Experience an exciting spectacle of the astounding concentrations of game and extensive bird life at home on the Serengeti plains.
Day 9:
Ngorongoro
After a morning game drive in the Serengeti, continue to “the cradle of mankind” at Olduvai Gorge. Proceed to Ngorongoro for the night (250 kms, 6 hrs).
Day 10:
Ngorongoro
During the day’s game drives discover this legendary crater containing the greatest permanent concentration of wildlife in Africa.
Day 11:
Nairobi
Stopping at Arusha for lunch, return to Nairobi via Namanga
(475 kms 10 hrs).
After breakfast, you will drive back to Nairobi, where you will spend the day with optional activities depending on your flight schedule. this where your 9-Day Best of Kenya and Tanzania Safari ends
